2017 Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid Win Big at the Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid received top honors at the Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association (GAAMA).  The Pacifica Hybrid took home the awards for overall Best Family Car and Best Technology Family Car and the Pacifica received the Best Three-row Family Car.

The members of GAAMA graded the vehicles based on several categories and on a trip along scenic routes at the Lake Lanier Islands Resort and Conference Center in Buford, Georgia.

The Pacifica and the Pacifica Hybrid have been racking up the award wins from various outlets.  It’s been a remarkably new entry to what many consider a boring segment.  Few auto companies have been putting so much into the minivan market to try to revitalize it out of the soccer parents category and into a true family vehicle.  It brings a new and beautiful exterior as well as being loaded with all kinds of technology to keep the driver and passengers safe as well as plenty of entertainment options to help passengers in longer drives.

The Pacifica Hybrid is another major upgrade to the minivan.  The Pacifica boosts an innovative hybrid powertrain and is the first electrified vehicle in the minivan segment.  It also is capable of an incredible 84 miles per gallon equivalent in electric-only mode and 33 miles of all-electric range.

Is There a Chrysler 300 SRT Hellcat in the Works?

At this point the question really should be which cars is Fiat-Chrysler not trying to put the Hellcat engine in?

Recent spy photos have come to light showing a possible Chrysler 300 SRT.  The photos showcase a 300 that features similar tires that were on the early Demon prototypes and seem to show a Chrysler 300 that is being made to handle quite some power. Does this mean that the 300 is the next vehicle to get a Hellcat engine?

It’s doubtful that the 300 is being groomed for such a future.  As Autoblog notes, the 300 SRT was discontinued in the United States in 2015.  However, it is still being sold in the Middle East and in Australia.  That could mean that Chrysler is gearing up an international treat to get more 300 SRTs selling in other regions of the world.

Autoblog continues that Dodge is not a brand on sale in Australia.  That could make a Hellcat 300 an option for the Aussies.  No clue on if this is something that would stand even a remote chance in the US, but I’m sure importers that would want to get their hands on it would find a way.  Until then, maybe the 300 is getting a Hellcat engine.
