Is There a Chrysler 300 SRT Hellcat in the Works?

At this point the question really should be which cars is Fiat-Chrysler not trying to put the Hellcat engine in?

Recent spy photos have come to light showing a possible Chrysler 300 SRT.  The photos showcase a 300 that features similar tires that were on the early Demon prototypes and seem to show a Chrysler 300 that is being made to handle quite some power. Does this mean that the 300 is the next vehicle to get a Hellcat engine?

It’s doubtful that the 300 is being groomed for such a future.  As Autoblog notes, the 300 SRT was discontinued in the United States in 2015.  However, it is still being sold in the Middle East and in Australia.  That could mean that Chrysler is gearing up an international treat to get more 300 SRTs selling in other regions of the world.

Autoblog continues that Dodge is not a brand on sale in Australia.  That could make a Hellcat 300 an option for the Aussies.  No clue on if this is something that would stand even a remote chance in the US, but I’m sure importers that would want to get their hands on it would find a way.  Until then, maybe the 300 is getting a Hellcat engine.

Not wanting to be left out of all the fun that the Jeep has been picking up lately with all its concept vehicles and special reveals, Chrysler is introducing a new appearance package for the 2017 Chrysler 300S.

The new appearance package is meant to lighten up the blacked-out 300S model and give it a more athletic styling.  Hence the name Sport Appearance Package.  With an update to both the exterior and interior of the 300S, sedan drivers should be very happy with what Chrysler is now offering.

“The new 2017 Chrysler 300S re-excites the passion of what owning an American flagship sedan is about,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands at FCA North American.  “And now for our Chrysler enthusiasts, two all-new sport appearance packages that take the 300S model’s athletic styling and appointments to the next level.”

The Exterior Sport Appearance Package will be standard on the 300S V-8 model and available for the V-6 models.  It comes with a more aggressive front fascia with larger air intakes, unique LED fog lamps, and sculpted side sills.  The fog lamps are exclusive to the Exterior Sport Appearance Package.

As for the Interior Sport Appearance Package, this adds sport-contoured leather seating with upgrades for more cradling and to make it even more comfortable for the driver and passengers.  Not only that, but the seats are heated and ventilated.

The Sports Appearance Package will be available for ordering in August of this year.

Chrysler’s Releases New Ads “Drive Proud” Narrated by Peter Dinklage

Drive Proud Ad Series - ChryslerDealerNY Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge

Peter Dinklage has voiced more ads for Chrysler.

Dinklage, most notably famous for his role of Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones (Station Agent fan here) was tapped by Chrysler to narrate the ad “The Kings and Queens of America” back in April.  It does not come as any surprise that the automaker would want more.

The new ad series is being called “Drive Proud” and focuses on the new 2015 Chrysler 200 and 300.  It evokes the same tone of the previous ad, but this time instead of feeling like Dinklage was describing Game of Thrones, he is now quoting famous literary works.  The ads contain passages from writers and poets such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Herman Melville, and Jack Kerouac.

The ads, which are all available on Chrysler’s YouTube channel, will be part of the “Drive Proud” campaign Chrysler is running throughout the summer.  Check out the ads here:
