June was a good month for Chrysler. Seven of their vehicles set record sales for the month across all their platforms. It was also the 39th consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases. Here are the vehicles that broke the records for June.
Starting with Jeep, it was the Jeep Wrangler up 12 percent from the previous year, the Compass, up 24 percent, and the Patriot up 20%.
Next up is Chrysler’s own vehicle. The 200 led the pack of makes with a 14 percent increase from 2012.
For Ram trucks, the Cargo Van C/V is up 13 percent from last June.
Lastly, Dodge had the Challenger up 27 percent and the Dodge Dart sold 6, 437 vehicles.
That’s not to say that any vehicle not on this list did poorly by any means. The Grand Cherokee, for example, had its best June in over eight years. It was the #2 seller for all of Chrysler and was up 33 percent from June of 2012.
Ram trucks have been enjoying the fact that the large truck segment is one of the fastest growing segments in the whole industry and pickup sales were 24 percent higher than last year.
Overall, there’s a good reason for the people at Chrysler to be celebrating. Their sales streak continues and in this case even looks better than ever. This is what happens when you give the market quality cars.
